How the saving is worked out: what the same work would have cost at the published prices of the major public clouds — Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure — less what it cost to run on your own machines. A month with no saving has no charge for it. During the beta only the membership is charged online; the node fee and the share of savings begin when metered billing opens, and you will be told before anything is charged.

Provision. Three servers you own — the N + 2 set.

Point to your code. Omnira builds it and sets the service up on your devices.

Today: the installer sets up one node, and that node runs your hub. Standby nodes — so that one node can be in maintenance and another can fail while the hub keeps serving — are planned and are not part of the beta yet; size for three if you want to be ready for them. The machine Omnira creates in your own Google Cloud is one node of the size above.
